The happiness of the Bangalore people turned into mourning when a stampede occurred in RCB’s Victory Celebration, millions of people were on the road. The crowd was uncontrollable. Everyone just wanted to enter the Chinnaswamy Stadium somehow. Royal Challengers, including Virat Kohli dancing to the tune of DJ, wanted to see the players of Bangalore. But the situation would become so bad, no one thought that 11 people would lose their lives in the stampede.
BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla described the incident as unfortunate in a special conversation with News18. Rajiv said, ‘This is a matter of concern, it is a big lesson for us. This was not BCCI’s program of RCB franchise. But he would not have even thought that such a crowd would throng. He must have thought that the program will be held inside the stadium, but the crowd came very much. We will help the family of the deceased people as much as possible. We are very sad, sympathy is towards the injured.
