New Delhi. The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has a big bid in the T20 Mumbai League on the 17-year-old rising star Ayush Mhatre. The right -handed batsman, who scored 94 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, was bought by Triumph Nights Mumbai North East for Rs 14 lakh 75 thousand.
Ayush will play under Surya’s captaincy
Suryakumar Yadav is captaining this team. On May 7, on Wednesday, 280 players bid for T20 Mumbai League. The third season of the tournament is going to start from 26 May. Among other emerging stars in India, Mushir Khan bid 15 lakhs, which was bought by ARCS Andheri. KKR Angkrish Raghuvanshi was bought by Sobo Mumbai Falkans 14 lakhs, Suryansh Shegade was bought by Mumbai North East for Rs 13.75 lakh. Tanush Kotion went to North Mumbai Panthers for Rs 10 lakh.

Mumbai Cricket has also fielded senior players to make this domestic T20 tournament a hit. Those who are being called icon players. Suryakumar Yadav Triumph Nights Mumbai North East, Ajinkya Rahane Bandra Blasters, Shreyas Iyer Sobo are the icon players of Mumbai Falcons and Prithvi Shaw (North Mumbai Panthers). Shivam Dubey has been selected as ARCS Andheri and Shardul Thakur as the icon player of Eagle Thane Strikers. Sarfaraz Khan Akash Tigers Mumbai Western Sabarbs and Tushar Deshpande will be the icon player of Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals.
How many teams are taking a total part?
A total of eight teams are going to participate in the T20 Mumbai League, in which cricket fans will get to see young cricketers. After the opening match on 26 May, the final will be held on June 8. All the matches will be played at the Wankhede Stadium itself. Indian captain Rohit Sharma is the brand ambassador of the T20 Mumbai League.
