Shukri Conrad became the coach of Limited Overs of South Africa.

New Delhi. South Africa has appointed Shukri Conrad as its limited overs coach. He took the country to the final of the World Test Championship. The South Africa team will be from Australia from 11–15 June at Lord’s. The 58 -year -old Conrad took up the coaching of the Test team in January 2023. He has only played first class cricket.

Last month, Rob Walter, who resigned for personal reasons, will replace Walter and will be in charge in all formats. In a statement from Cricket South Africa, Conrad said, “Giving coaching to the Test team has been the greatest honor of my cricket journey and now it is incredibly special to maintain white-ball teams. South African cricket has an incredible white-ball talent. There is a strong foundation for construction and I believe that we have all the necessary to achieve something special.”

South Africa will co-hold the next 50-over Cricket World Cup with Zimbabwe and Namibia in 2027. The veteran Conrad of the domestic coaching circuit has achieved a lot of success, due to which the South African team reached the WTC final.

South Africa also made it to the final of the last year’s T20 World Cup, but lost its position due to losing to India and recently reached the semi -finals of the 50 -over World Cup and recent ICC Champions Trophy. His next limited over cricket is a tri -series in Zimbabwe in July, including New Zealand. Later he will visit Australia, England and India.
