T20 Mumbai League: Cricketers like Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Dubey will join the second T20 league as soon as IPL 2025 is over.

New Delhi. Cricketers like India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Dubey will join the second T20 league as soon as IPL 2025 is over. This T20 league will be in Mumbai, in which 8 teams will participate. 8 cricketers from Mumbai have been elected as the icon player of one team. Rohit Sharma has been elected brand ambassador of the tournament. The tournament will be played at Wankhede Stadium from 26 May to 8 June. The IPL final will be a day before this.
Who will be the icon player of which team in the Mumbai T20 League, it was decided on Friday. Suryakumar Yadav has been elected the icon player of Triumph Nights Mumbai Northeast. Shreyas Iyer Sobo will join the team of Mumbai Falkans. Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy captain Ajinkya Rahane Namo will play for Bandra Blasters. All -rounder Shivam Dubey Arcs will be part of the Andheri team. Sarfaraz Khan Akash Tigers has become the icon player of the Mumbai Western Sabarbs team. Tushar Deshpande has been associated with Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals. Shardul Thakur was bought by Eagle Thane Strikers and Prithvi Shaw was bought by North Mumbai Panthers.
Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) president Ajinkya Naik said that applications of about 2,800 players were received for the third session of T20 Mumbai League. Out of these, 400 players have been shortlisted. The league auction will be held on May 7. Former captains Sunil Gavaskar and Dilip Vengsarkar will also join the league.
India’s Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma has been elected brand ambassadors of Mumbai T20 League. The initial two sessions of this league were held in 2018 and 2019. Indian players will get 20-20 lakh rupees for their participation. These players have confirmed their availability for this league if the national team is not injured. Ajinkya Naik said, ‘Eight teams will participate in the auction. Out of the 400 names involved in the auction, there are also players from Under-23 and Under-19. Each team will have a total of 18 players. Out of these, teams will need to keep a player of under-19 level in the playing XI.
