Prior to the Haddingley Test against England, former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif believes that Sai Sudarshan Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Cheteshwar Pujara may be the next batsman to play a long innings in Test cricket. Kaif said that he plays both spin and fast bowling well. They are a complete package.
Mohammad Kaif praised Karun Nair and said, “Karun Nair plays big innings and scoring continuously. They can bat all day. The batsman who can score by playing grounded shots, can play the same day. You should also have the ability to leave the balls.” Nair has been included in the Indian team after eight years, the credit in the domestic circuit goes to his consistency in the last few years. He has a record breaking 300 runs in India against England. His Test average is 62.33 (after six matches) while his first-class average is 49.82.
