BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla can become the acting chairman of the board. Actually, the current president Roger Binny is going to be 70 years old next month. According to the BCCI rule, any officer will have to step down after the age of 70 years. In such a situation, Binny will be disqualified to continue in the post. BCCI sources gave this information to PTI on Monday.

Binny took over as the chairman of the board in 2022 in place of Sourav Ganguly. He will turn 70 years old on 19 July.

Shukla, 65, is currently the Vice President of BCCI. He will remain the chairman of the board till the new election is held in September during the annual general meeting to be held in September.
