In the 34th match of IPL-18, Punjab Kings defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 5 wickets. The match was played for 14–14 overs due to rain at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Josh English caught the catch of Phil Salt.
Bengaluru lost wickets in the first over of the match. Arshdeep Singh threw the fourth ball of the over short length. Phil Soult tried to bridge it towards Square leg. The ball took the top age and went into the air.
Josh English ran and went towards the short square leg and caught a catch with gloves. Arshadeep got his initial success with this magnificent catch. Salt also hit a four on the first ball of the over.
2. Jansan ran backwards and took diving catch
Jansan caught Virat Kohli’s catch for 1 run.
RCB lost the wicket of Virat Kohli on the fourth ball of the third over. Arshdeep Singh threw the fourth ball of the over on a cross-seam on a short length. Kohli stayed on the front foot and went to play the bridge shot, but the ball did not fall in the middle of the bat.
The ball went up in the air and it seemed that the mid-on would leave. But Marco Janson raced a brilliant race, kept the eyes on the ball, caught a catch and kept the ball safe even after falling on the ground.
3. Wet outfield did not get a four
The ball did not go for the boundary despite the clean shot of Rajat Patidar.
The final ball of the second over was put by Xavier Bartlett. He bowled in the line of stumps on good length. The Patidar bent forward and quickly identified the length and played the shot over the mid-on. It seemed that the ball would go to the boundary easily, but due to the outfield being wet, the ball stopped near the boundary. The batsmen took advantage of this and completed two runs.

- Rajat Patidar has also added his name to the list of Indian batteries scoring the fastest 1000 runs in the IPL. Patidar’s name is second in records, he achieved this figure in 30 innings. The first number is Sai Sudarshan, he achieved this position in just 25 innings, which is the fastest for any Indian batsman.
Arshdeep became the top wicket of Punjab Arshdeep Singh became the highest wicket -taking bowler for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in IPL. He has taken 86 wickets so far. Prior to him, this record was in the name of Piyush Chawla, who took 84 wickets for Punjab. This is followed by bowlers like Sandeep Sharma (73 wickets), Akshar Patel (61 wickets) and Mohammed Shami (58 wickets).
