Dhoni has become the 11th Indian player to be proud of the ICC’s Hall of Fame.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, former captain of the Indian cricket team, has been included in the Hall of Fame by the International Cricket Council (ICC). On Monday, the ICC announced this and said that along with Dhoni, a total of 7 players including Matthew Hayden of Australia, Hashim Amla of South Africa have also been given a place in the list.
Dhoni has become the 11th Indian player to receive this honor. Regarding Dhoni’s career, ICC said, “17,266 international runs, 829 hunting and 538 matches … These figures are not only his talent, but proof of his continuity, fitness and long career.”
At the same time, Dhoni reacted to this honor and said, “It is a great honor to come to the ICC Hall of Fame. It is a matter of pride for me to see my name in the list of legendary players from all over the world. I will always cherish this moment.”

5 men and 2 female cricketers included in the list
A total of 7 players have been included in the Hall of Fame 2025 list by the ICC. These include 5 men and 2 female players. Male players include Hashim Amla of South Africa, Mahendra Singh Dhoni of India, Matthew Hayden of Australia, Graeme Smith of South Africa and Daniel Vettori of New Zealand.
At the same time, Sana Mir of Pakistan and Sarah Taylor of England have received this honor among women cricketers.
ICC said- won the team in difficult situation
The ICC said that in 2007, when India was out of the ODI World Cup early, Dhoni was made the captain for the T20 World Cup in a difficult situation. Dhoni showed such confidence with these players that India won the title by defeating Pakistan in the final.
The only captain to win the three ICC trophy
Dhoni is the only Indian captain ever to win India the three ICC Trophy – 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy.
