During this time, his journey was very difficult and many such decisions were taken which were questioned. He has revealed that he had to struggle a lot to get a county contract in 2023. This happened because he did not find any buyer in the IPL auction. He went to break after giving Hanuma Vihari a chance to his place in the beach series on a tour of England.

In the fourth Test of England tour, Nair told Hanuma Vihari suddenly and made his feelings debuted. He said that he went directly to Oxford Street and bought very expensive things to make himself better. Karun said, “It felt as if someone pushed me into the ground and I did not know where to go. I would never forget that hour when I got this news. I did not know what to do or who to talk to, so I went to Oxford Street and started buying anything else.
