IPL 2025 News: IPL 2025 postponed, BCCI has taken such decision even before this

New Delhi. The BCCI has decided to postpone the Indian Premier League 2025. This important decision was taken in the emergency meeting held on Friday. In view of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, this decision has been taken by the board. On Thursday, the BCCI took a tough step to close the ongoing match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala.

The BCCI has decided to postpone the recent season of the Indian Premier League in view of the situation like war between India and Pakistan. After the meeting held on Friday, the board shared this important information with everyone. On behalf of the BCCI, an official told PTI, “It does not seem good that cricket is going on when war is going on in the country.”

IPL postponed for the second time
This is just the second time in the history of the Indian Premier League when the tournament has to be postponed. Earlier in the year 2021, when Korana epidemic knocked in India, it was postponed after the players were infected in the team bubble. It was decided to postpone the tournament which started on 9 April 2021 on 4 May. The remaining 31 out of 60 IPL matches were organized in UAE in September-October.
