IPL 2025 New Dates: IPL 2025 seasons postponed between Indo-Pak stress will start again from May 16

New Delhi: The current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025), which has been postponed due to conditions like war between India and Pakistan, can resume from 16 or 17 May. After the meeting of the Governing Council on Sunday evening, the official announcement of the new dates was expected, but BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla said that the board is still making the program. The final may be shifted from Kolkata.

A IPL source said that the league will resume with the match between Lucknow Super Gints and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Lucknow. The match was to be played on May 9 as per the predetermined schedule.

Shukla said, ‘No decision has been taken on IPL yet. BCCI officials are working on the solution. The BCCI Secretary, IPL President is interacting with the franchise and everyone, so soon we will know about the decision. Efforts are being made to resume the tournament as soon as possible.

New schedule will be released on May 12
A source said, ‘All teams have been asked to recall their players. The tournament will resume in Lucknow on 16 or 17 May. The final program will be shared tomorrow (Monday). Most likely, the matches will be held at four places and there will be no other match of this season in Delhi-Dharmashala.

Kolkata will not have finals
The source also said that there would be no change in the site for qualifier-1 and eliminator, which was to be hosted by Hyderabad, but Kolkata may probably miss the final of the final on June 1 as the city is predicted to rain on that day. In that case the final can be played in Ahmedabad.
