Suresh Raina, Sanjay Bangar, RP Singh and Akash Chopra discussed the subject whether MS Dhoni should now retire or not.
MS Dhoni has batted on 8 and ninth order in IPL 2025 many times. His batting order became a matter of debate among the veterans. On one hand, Suresh Raina and RP Singh said that Dhoni did this to give opportunity to other players. At the same time, Akash Chopra and Sanjay Bangar said that Dhoni is not fully fit, due to which he batting on lower order.

Akash Chopra raised the question and said that if MS Dhoni had not been an uncapulated player, would he be part of the CSK team in IPL 2025. He also said that Dhoni is batting at number 7, 8 and 9. Are they fit to play or not? Suresh Raina came in favor of Dhoni and said that Dhoni is a part of the team for the last 18 years and still dej in and still hit the most sixes.
Suresh Raina said that he is liked to bat in the last 4 overs. He is fit for wicketkeeping even at the age of 44. He had said that the team is being prepared for the T20 World Cup and he wants to give Indian cricket players like Shivam Dubey.
RP Singh jumped into debate
RP Singh also gave a statement in favor of MS Dhoni not taking retirement and said, “It takes time to get into his full-flow when there is a knee surgery. This happens with each player, Dhoni has been doing wicketkeeping for 20 years. RP Singh said that Raina had also done the knee operation, but after some time he was completely cured. And players like Ravindra Jadeja are not able to make everyone aware of their leadership skills.
