Rajeev shukla statement: The final match of the Indian Premier League 2025 was to be held at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata, but now the final match between Bengaluru and Punjab Kings is going to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Now on this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rajiv Shukla, said on the change of the IPL final match, ‘No politics should be seen in the matches which have been shifted, this decision has not been taken with any political spirit’.
The BCCI vice -president further said that if the IPL schedule was not avoided for a week, the final would have been in Kolkata and the playoff in Hyderabad. When the schedule was changed, the weather conditions were seen and the broadcaster firmly put that the weather forecast of Kolkata is bad in those days and the match could be washed away in those days, so the match should be at a place where the possibility of rain is less. All places were seen and according to the weather reports, Chandigarh and Ahmedabad had the lowest expectation of rain. So the match was shifted. Rajiv Shukla further said that it is not that it is just a matter of Kolkata, matches were shifted from Hyderabad too, it has happened before. There is no political objective behind this’.
Mamta Banerjee had targeted
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had said on the IPL final from Kolkata that, ‘I do not build a stadium in my name. I do not make railway line in my name. I do not need my promotion. It is enough to live as an ideal person ‘. The CM of West Bengal surrounded the Government of India and said, ‘You made Modi stadium and all matches are being organized there. Why are no matches happening in Karnataka, Kerala, Bengal. Why are all matches happening in Gujarat? I know everything. If I opened my mouth, then all your reputation will go away, which you have earned outside ‘.
Regarding the statement of CM Mamta Banerjee, now Rajiv Shukla has talked about keeping the IPL away from the list and said that there was no political objective behind it.
