New Delhi. The place and date of the match to be played in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup between India and Pakistan has come to the fore. India is hosting the tournament going to start from 30 September this year, but due to the insistence of Pakistan Cricket Board, some matches will be played in Sri Lanka. This is being done due to the adoption of hybrid model in the ICC event after India’s match in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

All matches of Pakistan will be in Sri Lanka
Pakistan will play all its matches in Colombo as per the hybrid agreement between BCCI and PCB. Bangladesh (2 October), England (15 October), New Zealand (18 October), South Africa (21 October) and Sri Lanka (24 October) will also clash.
Indo-Pak match will be played on neutral venue
Pakistan’s World Cup matches will be played on neutral venue due to stressful relations between India and Pakistan. India has decided to play the 2025 Champions Trophy matches in Dubai instead of the host country Pakistan. In response, the PCB said that Pakistan will not participate in tournaments to be held in India in future.
The tournament will have 28 league matches and three knockout matches which will be played in Bengaluru, Indore, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam and Colombo. The first semi -final will be on 29 October in Guwahati or Colombo, which will depend on the performance of Pakistan’s tournament. The second semi -final will take place in Bengaluru on 30 October. The final will be held on 2 November in Bengaluru or Colombo.
