New Delhi. Whenever cricket matches are held in India and Pakistan, there is a different atmosphere. Cricket lovers of both countries keep an eye on cricket not only their teams or leagues, but also the cricket happening in another country. But like this year, next year also Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Indian Premier League (IPL) can be played together. The two are sure to confronte because Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering organizing this T20 league during the IPL itself.
The source said, “Therefore, now the discussion with the franchise owners is to prepare for organizing PSL in April-May like this year.” An official of the PSL Secretariat said that when PSL was organized this year and it confronts the IPL, the tournament had no negative impact on the number or interest of the audience.
The official said, “Initially there was some concern that our league could be affected by the PSL being organized with the IPL, but the number of audiences increased on TV and other media and franchise owners got a chance to contract some big foreign players who were not selected in the IPL auction.” (input language)
