New Delhi. Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and IS Bindra Stadium of Mohali are included in places that BCCI is considering shortlisted for the upcoming India vs New Zealand White-Ball Series. This series will be played in India before the T20 World Cup in January next year. According to Cricbuzz report, Jaipur has not hosted any international match in the last four years. The last time a T20 match was played between India and New Zealand in November 2021.
Three ODIs and five T20 matches will be played against New Zealand in this series scheduled in January. The White-Ball Series will end a busy domestic international calendar, including two Tests against the West Indies in October and a full series against South Africa, with a white-ball series in Australia. The schedule of the New Zealand series will be finalized by the BCCI’s Apex Council on Saturday evening. The meeting will be held online at 4 pm, in which the BCCI will finalize the celebrations of the IPL winning guidelines, the new age verification process and the domestic cricket calendar for the upcoming season.
There will be a series against South Africa after two Tests against the West Indies, which will include two Tests, three ODIs and four T20 matches. These T20 matches will be played in November in Cuttack, Mullanpur, Dharamshala and Lucknow. Australia will have three ODIs and five T20 matches in the eight-match white-ball series between the domestic series against West Indies and South Africa. There will be a T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka in February after eight white-ball matches against New Zealand in January. This will be followed by the Indian Premier League (IPL), in which India will be the defending champion.
