Rules will be applicable in Tests from June and white ball cricket from July.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is going to change some of the Tests and some ODI rules. In a message sent to its members, the ICC said that the revised playing-conditions will be applicable in Tests from June and white ball cricket from July.
The rules that change will include the use of a ball in ODI cricket, catch on the boundary and conversion replacement.
Use of a ball in ODI cricket Since October 2011, the rule of two new balls in ODIs is applicable. Currently, two new balls are used from both sides in ODIs. According to the new ICC rule, there will be two new balls for 1 to 34 overs. That is, both balls will run for the first 34 overs in an innings. Then only one ball from the 35th over will be used from both ends till the end of the innings (until it needs to be replaced). After the completion of 34 overs and before the start of 35 overs, the fielding team will select one of those two balls.

Two ball rules were implemented in October 2011.
5 Convention Replacement has to be mentioned Some changes will also be made in the convention replacement rules. The teams will have to name the match referee to five convention replacement players before the match starts. In which there will be a wicketkeeper, a batsman, a pacer, a spinner and an all -rounder. If the replaced player is also injured, the match referee can choose a new option.
Two rules will be reported later The ICC release states that the boundary line catch and changes in the rules in the DRS protocol will be reported later.
Rules will be applicable in Tests from June and ODIs from July The new rules in Test cricket will be applicable from the next bicycle (2025-27) of the World Test Championship. This will be implemented through the first Test from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in Gaul from June 17. The WTC 2023-25 finals will be played from the old rule itself. The final is to be played between Australia and South Africa at Lord’s from 11 June.
The new rules in ODI International will be applicable from July 2. The first match of the ODI series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is to be played on 2 July. From July 10, T20 International will be played with new rules.
