New Delhi. Former Australia fast bowler Mitchell Johnson said that it is not prudent for foreign players to return to the remaining IPL matches and they have said that the circumstances that have been created by the India-Pakistan war requested them to prioritize security. Johnson has also said that IPL and PSL should be closed.
Mitchell Johnson wrote in his column for West Australian, “Although Cricket Australia has given the players the right to take their own decisions, but those options may be overwhelmed on them. But there is a lot of money in this game and it has been taken care of. If I have to decide whether to return to India and finish the tournament or not. Life and security are not the most important thing for me.”
Ravindra Jadeja, raging in the middle ground, was angry at Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli also jumped in the middle
Johnson said, “This is a personal decision. No one should feel forced or pressure to go back, even if the IPL and Pakistan Super League has been stopped. Both tournaments should be abolished or considered to be considered.
The world’s largest T20 league was suspended on 9 May due to tension on the border after the terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahalgam. A day after the suspension, a ceasefire between the two countries was announced, which cleared the way for the IPL to resume from Saturday.
