Johannesburg: Cagiso Rabada of South Africa, who returned to home and returning home in the IPL, has made a shocking disclosure. Fast bowler Cagiso Rabada is facing temporary suspension due to the use of banned drug. South African Pesar played two matches for the IPL team Gujarat Titans last month. He left the IPL after citing personal reasons.
Cagiso Rabada issued a statement on Saturday through South African Cricketers Association (SACA). It said, ‘I recently decided to return to South Africa for personal reasons after participating in the IPL. This decision had to be taken due to the use of a banned medicine, which I consumed.
29 -year -old Cagiso Rabada has regretted his mistake. He said, ‘I am facing temporary suspension and I am expecting to return to the game I like to play.’ However, in the statement of the African Cricket Board, it has not been told which entertaining drug she was for which Rabada has been banned. It is also not clear whether Rabada’s drug test was done during a ‘tournament’ (IC) or after the tournament.
It is a matter of relief for Gujarat Titans that she is doing well even without Cagiso Rabada. Gujarat Titans, playing under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, have won 7 matches in IPL 2025. He is second in the point table with 14 points. Another win will confirm a place in the playoffs of Gujarat Titans.
