Gautam Gambhir Reaction on Shreyas Iyer: India vs England Test: Gautam Gambhir answered Shreyas Iyer for not being elected on England tour

New Delhi. The Indian team will leave to play Test series on a difficult tour of England next month. The names of these form batsman Shreyas Iyer are not included in the team selected by the selectors for the tour. Head coach Gautam Gambhir on Wednesday deferred the question of not joining Shreyas Iyer in the Indian team for the tour of England. He appreciated the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) for inviting the heads of the country’s armed forces in the IPL final to be held in Ahmedabad on June 3.

Iyer, who is in excellent form, has not found a place in India’s 18 -man squad for the five -match Test series against England in Leeds from June 20. The command of India will be handled by the young Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant will be the vice -captain. Regarding Iyer, who took Punjab Kings to the IPL playoffs with his captaincy, Gambhir said, “I am not a selector.”

Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Gambhir praised the BCCI for inviting the heads of the three armies to the title match, saying, “This is an incredible step.”

He said, “We usually criticize many things of BCCI, but this is something that is incredible. The BCCI has taken the initiative from the point of view that the whole country is one and the whole country should salute the armed forces for their unconditional works. I think we should give a lot of credit to the BCCI and most importantly our armed forces who are helping us and we are protecting us without any condition.

General Upendra Dwivedi is the army chief while Tripathi is the Navy Chief of Admiral Dinesh. Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh is the Chief of Air Force. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia had announced that he has invited all Indian Armed Forces heads, top officials and soldiers for the IPL final to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor.

Operation Sindoor started on 22 April after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. 26 people were shot dead by Pakistan-backed militants at this popular tourist destination of Jammu and Kashmir, most of whom were tourists.
