New Delhi. The Indian cricket team is going to go on a difficult tour of England next month. Team India is preparing for the five -match Test series. Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian team, offered prayers at the famous temple in Guwahati on Monday. The Kamakhya Temple located on the Nilachal hills is one of the major Shaktipeeths of India and its religious significance is very deep. Gambhir was seen bending and worshiping in the temple with reverence. Its pictures and videos have gone viral on social media.

The tour of England will run from June 20 to August 4, in which matches will be played at Handingley, Edgbaston, Lords, Old Trafford and The Oval. This series will be India’s first major series after the retirement of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The new Test captain Shubman Gill will lead the young Indian team while Rishabh Pant has been made the vice-captain.

The BCCI has included veteran domestic player Abhimanyu Ishwaran while Karun Nair and Sai Sudarshan will strengthen the middle order. Jasprit will lead the fast bowling attack with Bumrah Mohammad Siraj and famous Krishna. Gambhir’s temple journey is being seen as the beginning of a new era in Indian Test cricket, with a mixture of leadership change and experience and young talent.
