New Delhi. The all-rounder Net Civor-Brant has been appointed as the captain of the England women’s cricket team on Tuesday (April 29). England and Wales Cricket Board said on Tuesday that she will replace Heather Knight. Knight resigned from the post of captain after continuous poor results. He took over the team for nine years.
England were out in the group stage of the T20 World Cup last year and lost 16–0 to Australia in the Ashes series played in multi-form (Test, ODI and T20) this year. Former England captain Charlotte Edwards has been handed over the captaincy of the team to Siva-Brant after appointing the team’s head coach in place of John Lewis earlier this month.
For the last three years, the Sear-Brant, working as a vice-captain, will captain the team in all three formats. This 32 -year -old player has played 259 matches in all formats after making his debut for England in 2013. His average is 46.47 in Test cricket, 45.91 in ODIs and 28.45 in T20. He has taken 181 international wickets.
