Delhi’s Patiala House Court acquitted Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in a sexual exploitation case from a minor wrestler. The minor wrestler in the court had said in his statement that he had made this allegation by coming under emotional pressure and deception. After which this verdict was pronounced.
Earlier, during a closed room hearing on August 1, 2023, the minor wrestler told the court that he was satisfied with the investigation of the Delhi Police. He has no objection to the closure report. Delhi Police filed a closure report in the case on 15 June 2023.
During the investigation, the victim’s father claimed that he had given a false complaint against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Based on this, the police had recommended the closure of the case registered under the Paxo Act. During the hearing today, the court canceled the case and closed the case.

Read the allegation of the minor’s father
The father of the minor wrestler had said- the daughter won the gold medal in the 62kg freestyle at the Asian Championship. Then at the age of 16, he won Gold at the Junior Wrestling Championship at the National Games in Ranchi, Jharkhand. It was here that Brij Bhushan forcibly pulled the daughter close to him on the pretext of taking a photo. She gripped so tightly in her arms that she could not even move to free herself. Brijbhushan handed his hand down from his shoulder.
Brij Bhushan told his daughter that you support me and I will support you. The wrestler said that I have come here on my own and will work hard.
Brij Bhushan said that the Asian Championship trials are going to be held soon. If you do not cooperate, you will have to suffer in the trials. Brij Bhushan called the minor wrestler to the room. The minor wrestler was in pressure that her career did not waste Brijbhushan, so she went to meet. On reaching there, Brijbhushan pulled him towards him and tried to forcefully make a physical relationship. The minor wrestler was completely scared of this. He somehow rescued himself and escaped from the room.
This was followed by the Asian Championship trials in May 2022 where Brij Bhushan discriminated against the minor wrestler. Another thing happened in this trial. In the trial, both referee and mats cannot be from the athlete’s state. During the trial of a minor wrestler, he was fought with a Delhi wrestler in which both the referee and the matte chairman were from Delhi. This was a violation of the rules.
When the minor wrestler opposed it there, he was said to have two-tuk that he would have to play, otherwise the second athlete would be declared a walkover i.e. the winner. During the match of the minor wrestler, the recording was switched off and turned on to make a mess in the video.
All this was done at the behest of Brijbhushan, as my daughter refused to fulfill her sexual desire. In 2022, when the minor wrestler was practicing in Lucknow trials, Brij Bhushan again came to him. Brijbhushan asked him to meet him personally. The minor wrestler said that do not bother again and again.
