BCCI made a big change in Ranji Trophy.

New Delhi. In its top council meeting on Saturday, the Indian Cricket Board decided that 2025-26 Ranji Trophy will be held in two phases from 15 October to 28 February with a revised format. In which instead of the existing two teams, one team from the plate group will be promoted to the relay and one. The BCCI included 9 teams in the Ranji Trophy in 2018-19. It also includes the North East team. However, the quality of cricket in this competition was affected.
Duleep Trophy has returned to zonal format
The Dalip Trophy has returned to the regional format. And this will be the first tournament of the session. It will be held from August 28 to September 15. The BCCI said, “The team will be selected by the Regional Selection Committee.” The Iranian Cup will be played from October 1 to 5. Plate divisions have been re -included in all one -day competitions including the Keyid Mushtaq Ali Trophy (National T20 competition). Till the last session, teams used to play quarter -finals, semi -finals and final matches in the knockout phase, but from this session top teams will get three additional matches in the Super League.
The top teams of Group A and B will clash in the final. The lowest six teams of the previous season will be part of the plate group. The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will be played from 26 November to 18 December. Along with this, in all the tournaments of the white ball, the team that moved forward from the teams living in the group stage will be decided according to the net run rate.
Limited over series will be played from New Zealand from 11 to 31 January
