The daily allowances of employees of all departments of the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) will now be paid after simplifying the domestic ‘tournament allowance policy’ by the top officials of the board.

The daily allowances of employees of all departments of the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) will now be paid after simplifying the domestic ‘tournament allowance policy’ by the top officials of the board. These allowances have not been paid since January. According to BCCI’s current travel policy, employees are paid Rs 15,000 per day for short -term travel (four days) and Rs 10,000 per day for long -term visit related to the Indian Premier League (IPL), Women’s Premier League (WPL) and India organized by India. The contingency allowance during the journey was Rs 7500.
Since the policy was being amended, BCCI employees including Finance, Operations and Media Department have not been paid their daily allowances for IPL and WPL, but now that the policy is prepared, their dues should be paid soon. The source said, “A clear policy was required in the context of allowances as some employees were also claiming allowances while operating from Mumbai headquarters during the tournament. Now when it is ready, the dues will be paid soon.
For more clarity, an employee who is traveling for the entire 70 -day IPL will be eligible for a daily allowance of Rs 10,000, in which the total claim amount will be seven lakh rupees. A person traveling limited during IPL will be eligible to claim only 60 percent of the 70 -day allowance and the person who is not traveling at all can claim 40 percent amount for 70 days. As far as traveling abroad is concerned, most of the BCCI employees are paid $ 300 per day. Honorary officials including Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and Joint Secretary get a daily allowance of $ 1000 on foreign tours. They are paid Rs 40,000 for a day meeting within India and Rs 30,000 per day for the domestic work journey of several days.
