Ab de villiers ipl: South African veteran AB de Villiers retired from IPL after 2021 season. De Villiers played for two teams in his 14 -year IPL career. In talks with Cricket.com, AB de Villiers said that at that time there were veterans like Glenn Macgra and Daniel Vettori in the team, but they have very poor memories associated with this team. He also admitted that he was afraid of big veterans as a young player.

AB de Villiers said, “I will be hated to name you. I can say that the condition of Delhi Daredevils was very bad, really very bad. Many poisonous humans were present in that team.” He also admitted that he did not get much support in the Delhi team in his young days.
He said, “Three years in the Delhi team was not very good for me. In this journey I also realized that there used to be very useless people in the team, I do not need to take their name. I expected, but the big players did not support me as much.”
AB de Villiers’ IPL Career
In 2011, AB de Villiers joined Royal Challengers Bangalore and played for RCB till retirement in 2021. He scored 5,162 runs in his 184 matches IPL career, including 3 centuries and 40 half -century innings. Playing for Delhi, he scored 671 runs in 28 matches and 4,491 in 156 matches for RCB.
