Mumbai: Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli was declared a strategic investor in the World Balling League (WBL) on Wednesday. The World Bowling League recently introduced MLB superstar and three -time world series champion Muki Bates team OMG as the first franchise in the league.
Kohli said in a release, “I started playing bowling at the age of 11 and learned to spin the ball till the age of 12.”
He said, ‘It is clear how popular this game is while it is less appreciated commercially. Mishra’s approach to Adi to redefine bowling is unique and after our success with Team Blue Rising in the E1 series, I am thrilled to join WBL as an investor and partner.
