New DelhiRoyal Challengers Bangalore head coach Andy Flower has said that his team’s rhythm has not deteriorated due to a long break, but some players, including captain Rajat Patidar, have got a chance to fit before the playoffs. Patidar suffered a finger injury during a domestic match against Chennai Super Kings. Meanwhile, IPL was postponed for a week due to India-Pakistan military conflict.
Flower said, “We are not worried about the break. The team has worked hard throughout the session and has shown a great game till now. This break gave some players a chance to get fit. Now Patidar is fit for batting, which is a good thing. Opener Phil Salt was also ill, but he also got a chance to get fit in the break and now he is ready to play full freshly. We are just disappointed that tomorrow’s match is not playing in Bengaluru. Our record on other grounds is excellent and we hope that the team will play well tomorrow. ‘
The May 17 match between RCB and Kolkata Knight Riders was washed away due to rain, which made the break.
