In the 59th match of IPL-18, Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 10 runs. While batting first at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, PBKS scored 219 runs losing 5 wickets. In response, RR’s team could only score 7 wickets 209 runs.
Several moments and records were seen in the match on Sunday. Rajasthan scored its highest powerplay. Shashank Singh captained Punjab’s regular captain Shreyas Iyer. The national anthem was played before the match in honor of the Indian Arm Force.

1. National Anthem for Indian Arm Force
There was a national anthem for Indian soldiers before the match. The Indian Army was honored under this operation vermilion. Missiles were fired in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) in this operation. The action was in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, in which 25 Indians and one Nepali tourists were killed.

2. Priyansh-Prabhasimran opened the account with fours
Priyansh Arya opened the Punjab’s innings account on the first ball of the match. On the fourth ball of the same over, Prabhasimran Singh opened his account by putting a four on the long on. Fazal Farooqui, who was putting the first over of the match from Rajasthan, bowled full and straight balls, Priyansh clip it for 4 runs near Short Fine Leg. Later Prabhasimran scored 4 runs near the off stump and flick the low full toss ball from the mid-on.

3. Catch out of Farooqui, Priyansh out on next ball
Tushar Deshpande bowled brilliantly in the second over. He threw full length on the fourth ball leg side of the over, which Priyansh Arya flicked towards the fine leg. Standing here, Farooqui tried to catch a catch with one hand by diving on the right side, but Arya got 2 runs.
However, Priyansh was out on the next ball. Deshpande bowled a full ball near the off stump. Arya tried to drive, but the ball jumped into the air towards mid-off, Hetmyer took easy catch here. Arya scored 9 runs in 7 balls. The loss of Farooqui’s missing catch was just 2 runs.

4. Prabhasimran out on Sanju’s DRS
Prabhasimran Singh was dismissed on the first ball of the fourth over. Deshpande bowled a length ball at the leg side, which Prabhasimran Singh tried to glance. The ball passed by the bat and went to the keeper Sanju Samson.
Initially the umpire turned down the appeal, but Samson took a review at the behest of Deshpande. The review showed a spike of ball to be scored by the bat, and Prabhasimran was given out. Prabhasimran returned to the pavilion after scoring 21 runs in 10 balls.

5. Hasranga gave life to Vaurra
