New Delhi: The waiting clocks ended. The much awaited Central contract of the Board of Control for Cricket in India has surfaced. On April 21, the annual contract of the Indian Senior Men’s team was announced for the 2024-25 season. As usual, players are divided into A+, A, B and C categories.
Big things of BCCI Central Contract
Shreyas Iyer and Ishaan Kishan have returned to the contract list while Rishabh Pant is now in Grade A. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jaspreet Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are placed in the A+ category at the top. New players like Varun Chakraborty, Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Rana, Harshit Rana, Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Juril have also been included in the contract.

34 players got central contract
The Indian Cricket Board has given a chance to a total of 34 players in an annual contract of 2024-25. A year after the BCCI was out of the contract list, Ishaan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer made a comeback as the BCCI excluded him from the Central Contract List for the 2024/25 season.
Shocking names in A+ category
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Jaspreet Bumrah are four cricketers present in the grade A+ category. Since Rohit, Virat and Jadeja had retired from T20 format after the 2024 World Cup, they did not expect to meet in the top category. Generally, only those players are kept in this category, so all three are regular in formats. This trio is continuing to play test and ODI cricket.
