New Delhi. Akash Chopra has criticized selectors of the Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI) for ignoring Sarfaraz Khan for the upcoming five -Test series against England. The former cricketer believes that Sarfaraz Khan has not done anything wrong and he is being excluded only on the basis of perception.

Chopra said in a video on his YouTube channel, “Sarfaraz Khan has not done anything wrong so far. He has scored more than 90 runs in a match that he has played, but he has not scored a century, but after that you have not fed them in the next match and they are no longer part of the Test team. I can understand that if you do not want to trust their technology or play then they could not be sent with India A.”

He further said, if you feel that they can score runs, and that is why they have been selected in India A team, then feed them in India Test team as well. What have they done wrong? He scored a century in Bangalore. Then he failed in two matches, but no one else scored runs in those matches. He was not a part of the discussion, not to tell not a single match in Australia.

Sarfaraz Khan has played 6 matches in his Test career so far and has scored 371 runs at an average of 37. Sarfaraz Khan has hit 44 fours and 8 sixes in Test career. On November 2024, he played his recent Test match against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India. After this, he has not got a chance to play any Test match.
