New Delhi. VVS Laxman has been made a temporary head coach of Team India in the absence of Gautam Gambhir, who will monitor the preparations for the Indian team in England. Gambhir returned to India from England to see his ailing mother earlier this week. Laxman, head of the National Cricket Academy, is already in London before the under-19 team’s tour of England. The junior team will play five ODIs from 27 June. Whereas in July, two Test matches will be played in Bekenham and Chelmsford. Apart from his responsibilities in Laxman NCU, there are also coaches of under-19 and A teams. In the absence of Gambhir, he gave coaching to the second -class Indian team in the T20 series in South Africa later last year.
Sarfaraz Khan scored a century
In the intra squad match, Sarfaraz Khan scored a brilliant century. Sarfraj is playing for India A. He has not found a place in Team India for the Test series. India A decided to bat first. Gaikwad missed the chance

According to the report of The Indian Express, Rituraj Gaikwad was dismissed without opening an account on the second day of the intra squad match but Sarfaraz Khan batting vigorously.
