Sachin Tendulkar had made his name in India by 1988. He also faced Wasim Akram, Waqar Yunus, Imran Khan and Abdul Qadir on the tour of Pakistan in 1989. But the world believed his iron in Test cricket when he scored 119 runs (unbeaten) against England in Old Trafford in Manchester at the age of 17. This was his first Test century. This innings saved India from defeat and established Sachin as an emerging star in world cricket. Vaibhav is going to England with the Under-19 team this month.
